பேரறிஞர் அண்ணாவைப் பற்றி பத்திரிகைகளில் வெளியான கேலிச் சித்திரங்களின் தொகுப்பு இது. தி.மு.கழகத்திற்கும் ஓவியங்களுக்கும் இடையேயுள்ள தொடர்பு பற்றி ஆய்வுலகில் இன்னும் பேசப்படவில்லை. பிறப்பின் அடிப்படையில் அமைந்த இழிவை நீக்கவும் வகுப்புரிமை வேண்டியும் மொழி காக்கவும் போராடிய தூரிகைகளின் வரலாறுகள் மறக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டன. மறக்கப்பட்ட வரலாற்றை நனவு நிலைக்குத் திருப்ப, இந்தத் தொகுப்பு உதவக்கூடும். எழுத்துத்துறையிலும் மேடையிலும் சமூக, பண்பாட்டு மாற்றங்களை வலியுறுத்திய இயக்கம் ஓவியத் துறையையும் தன் ஆயுதமாக்க எடுத்த முயற்சிதான் இது.
